Welcome October, ya autumnal BABE. ?? Lovely to see you again so soon.
September was a fluster of premature / autumn fangirling hype. Chai lattes erry day, the return of the knit and a few wonderful weekends with my favourite people.
Although I haven’t been out of a country for a thousand years (February, but y’know), weekends away will satisfy my craving for adventure just about. I have been trying to get my head in the game (Get’cha head in the game ?) with internet stuff, make time for the gym and spend and extra 30 mins on dinner. Gotta love an extra dose of self care, why not ey?
Without further ado, here’s what I’ve been loving in September…
Oh Sundays how I adore ya. I seem to have perfected the slow Sunday over the past month. Either snuggled on our new BEAST of a sofa back home on the Isle of Wight, or sticking on some motown (fave baking music) and whipping up a crumble for the fam whilst rain patters on the window. A Sunday well spent brings a week of content so they say, and I deffo agree.
I had two sleepover this month, not quite every night like I used to, but it was bloody lovely. A gal pal I haven’t seen for over a year came up to stay for Shakespeare in the park, wine and catch ups, and a few weeks later in Winchester with my ladies and about 93489 onion bhajis. Our poor boyfs having to suffer with our cackling into the early hours, but I’m not sure we will ever grow out of this habit. Hehe. Fluffy bunny anyone?
GAME OF THRONES
Matt and I started G.O.T at the start of September. Better late than never ey?! We are about half way through series two and looooooooooving it. All VERY gory and a lot of sexy time (?) but it is incredibly more-ish and we have binged a fair few times. We have series one to three on DVD but need the rest, eep! Any ideas?
I have purchased a few new autumnal gems over the past month. Some glorious bits from Brandy Melville (SUCH a fan of this place ?), my fave jumpsuit EVER (above) and the warmest, cosiest down puffer jacket from TK Maxx. If you are after something to keep you snug, layer under a bigger coat or an easily removable summin’ summin’ for your commute, the puffer is THE ONE. Check out TK Maxx as they have such amazing discounts (mine was £80 down to £40) yaaaas.
VEGAN COMFORT FOOD
I have found a little slice of motivation to experiment with my meals a little over the past month. It is so refreshing to get creative and try a few new dishes, especially of the plant based variety. I have been super inspired by the lovely Tania with her recipes, especially this DREAM of a dahl. Any other gems I need to try out?
KEW GARDEN STROLLS
Matt’s family came to visit us in London a few weeks back. There was a lot of prosecco involved, but also the most glorious stroll in Kew Gardens A.K.A my London happy place. Each time I visit I discover a new beautiful corner and I could probably wander round aaaaall day. Have you ever been? (You should ?)
MONTHLY BLOGGER BRUNCH
Myself and a clan of blogging ladies have set up a lil brunch club for the last Sunday of every month. As internet pals, it is SO nice to get everyone together IRL and chinwag over some sorta basic brunch goodness and prosecco. Blogging can be a very solo ting, so the more meet ups the better I say! Definitely pop me a message if you are in London and fancy coming down to the next one, the more the merrier. ?
COCOA MAY BROWNIES
I love a start up. A brainwave of inspiration, creativity and a big slice of motivation. A vision combined with hard work to escape the 9 till 5 and persue a dream. Our friend Rosie has started up her own company, Cocoa May. A perfect way to treat loved ones, sending virtual hugs in the form of baked goods. Can ya think of anything better that a box of brownies through the letterbox? OH also, they are gluten free and absolutely FRIGGIN’ delicious. Birthday? Rubbish few months? Just because? Cocoa May is the one. Check them out here…
I have a few exciting bits and bobs cropping up over the next month, I would love to finish October feelin’ all gal boss and accomplished fingers crossed. I haven’t got too much planned, but it’saaaaall about evenings wrapped in blankets, eating crumble ‘n’ custard innit. Maybe a smidge of gymming also to keep ‘dem endorphin’s flowing…
What have you been loving over the past month? Anything you are looking forward to in October? ?
Hope your Monday is going well, ‘av a chai latte on me >:)
