A Lil Catch Up

Teignmouth Devon

I’m gonna be honest ere. I forgot about this post. I legit thought it was only Tuesday lol. I’m gonna blame it on BH Pimm’s. Can’t complain about the four day week tho. ?

How was your long weekend?

I spent mine down in the West Country with the boyf’s fam. It was one of those weekends where I had all the best intentions to take pretty snaps and film a vlog, but it just didn’t happen.

My phone stayed at bottom of my bag for most of the time. I did manage to talk Matt into taking a few snaps of me looking like a lemon on the seafront (whadda gent), but that was about it.

The rest of the weekend was spent catching up with chums, strolling through the woods, chowing down Cornish pasties in the sunshine and having aaaall the family time fuelled by Pimm’s and prosecco. It was perf. AND the weather was the dream, we were pretty blessed weren’t we?!

Taking my focus off creating and just enjoying was exactly what I needed. I spend a scary amount of time in front of various screens, so it was refreshing (and liberating?) to let my phone gradually run out of battery and just be.

It was also so SO so nice to be by the seaside. There is something about gazing out across the glittering sea an drinking up that fresh, salty air that makes me so content.

I am back up in London now, feeling refreshed and ready to get back to the graft. The weather has taken a slight downturn, but I am hoping for a liiiitttle more sunshine before the jumpers, candles, chai errythang and all the other basic Autumnal things (that I love) come back into our lives.

What do ya think? Are ya ready for Autumn or fancy a smiddddge more summertime?

If ya fancy a chat, gals is over on InstagramTwitterBloglovin and YouTube .

It’s good to do things like you do. Everyone needs their unplugging time, even if they don’t want to admit it.

    • Yes you are so right Courtney, having time away from it all is so essential. Maybe I should make it a rule for each weekend! Immy x

  • Wasn’t the weather amazing?! I did the same thing – took time away from blogging and social media and just relaxed for the whole of Monday and it was the best thing x
