The Last Drops of Autumn

One of ma fave blogger lass and gal pal Katy has moved in just down the road from me.

When living in the city, impromptu strolls in the park, chats over a slab of cake and maybe cheese and wine nights with chums can easily slip out of the diary. Everyone is busy with work, events, skint or 53 min away on City Mapper. It’s rubbish I tell ya.

Saying that, a of lovely people seem to be moving to my neck of the woods in Tooting. Life has become FAR more simple like the days when seeing a friend meant walking down the road, via the corner shop for snacks. Just the way it should be.

Katy and I organised a ‘lil day date. We met early Saturday for breakfast of dreams at MUD, my fave local brunch spot… If ya didn’t know that already. Pfffffft #mudalldayerrydayplzthx. We wrapped up warm and bagged a table by the door (it gets proper nippy), so unless you are keen to snap your beaut of a brunch, grab a table towards the back and be nice ‘n’ toasty.

We ordered a couple of their deliciously smooth Ozone coffees…

The menu is forever changing and SO delish, it is rarely updated on the website, so ya just gotta go in and see for yourself. Katy ordered the classic avo on toast with dreamy poached eggs and bacon.

I went for the chocolate, roasted orange and pistachio pancakes.

A few more coffees / juices / tea’s later, we headed up the road to Tooting Common to stroll off aaaaaaall the brunchness.

Also to give our warmest garms a whirl and folic in the last glimpse of autumn, PLZ DON’T LEAVE!

We are working on a campaign with FatFace called Share The Happiness. All about celebrating those lovely little nuggets of everyday life with loved ones, especially on the run up to Christmas.

Y’know, going out of your way to make someones day that bit better, giving gifts to people precious to you just because, generally sharing da looove. And being nice and toasty whilst you’re at it, of course.

The FF team kindly sent me a few bits from their winter range to try out. Every piece is perf for Sunday strollin’ post roast, adventuring in the great outdoors (ahem, Center Parcs in Jan teehee) or even sassing up (definitely not a real word) for work with ankle books and an A line skirt. I have more gems from the collection to show you, but these are a few of my faves so far.

As you have probs gathered by now, I am a big fan of the blanket scarf. Y’know, the kind that I could also use a picnic blanket. This particular gem is just SO warm and snuggly. With the beaut berry and navy tones it will lift my winter wardrobe too, coz I tend to wear all black errythang from now until March time.

This cable cardi is also one of my faves. The quality is dreamy and it is super easy just to throw over anything. It would be ideal for Sunday style Christmas baking and tree decorating. I was wearing the bloody beaut of a coat over this on our walk, which I will show you in another blog post.

I am sad to see the back of the most g l o r i o u s season, but I aam SO excited to get the festive feels goin’ and embrace the coming weeks. So here’s to sharing mulled wine and mince pies with loved ones, cooking roasts for friends, winter walks, Christmas markets and lots of chuckles with the fam. And ELF. hehe.

What do ya think of the FatFace beauties? And also, what are you looking forward to over the next few weeks?!

Snaps by the wonderful Katy English.

This lovely garms in this post were kindly gifted to me by FatFace, but all love for cosy garms, warmth, brunch and park frolics are my own.
