August Love List

I’ve been toying with the idea of a love list for a while. There always bits and bobs and nuggets of positivity so why not share em’ with you in a little monthly round up?

August has been a month filled with so much love and happiness. There’s been weddings, more ice creams than you can shake a stick at, amazing memories and a LOT of very, very hot tube journeys. I feel like my whole summer has been squished into one month!

This list is a mixture of everything. I think it’s nice to reflect and note down general life highlights as well as other tings that have tickled my pickle and I think may just tickle yours too.

Let’s get to it!

Obvs number one on this list of love would be the fact that England actually got a decent amount of sun this month. YASSS SUMMER 2K16. Chillin’ and eating BBQ grub till the sun goes down in the garden with the people you love is simple, but so bladdy lovely. Also, due to my new work hours I can now actually see my chums in my lunch break / after work, it is dreamy.

As you can have a ganders here ‘n here, I have attended two weddings this month. The first being my oldest gal pal (the BEAUT lady pictured above) who got hitched in the countryside, then my brothers GF’s twin at their dreamy festival wedding. I’d forgotten how magical these moments are, especially when you are seeing people you grew up with enter the next chapter of their life.

The other beautiful thing about weddings is spending a time with loved ones you haven’t seen in YONKS and realising that nothing has changed. We are all still about 13 at heart (even if we returned from the wedding to drink tea and eat biscuits) so maybe we have grown up, it’s hard to tell.

There’s gotta be some sorta foodie fodder in ere ain’t there? I popped down to the launch of KERB Camden a few weeks ago and it was the d r e a m. So many amazing foodie stalls in one spot, and it was all on the house. I know, actual heaven. It was one of the first events I had gone to solo and naaat gonna lie I was a little nervous. I got myself some grub and sat down to find some of my fave blogging ladies (and lads) had joined me. I love how the community is so open and friendly, so here’s to saying yes and going to events on ya tod more often.

So you may or may not have heard it has been HOT here in London. I tried my hardest not to complain like the classic Brit I am, but summer in central London means sweaty tubes and madness all over. My make up pretty much slips straight off my face on the way to work, meaning I’m a hot disheveled mess before I’ve even started. One of my gal pals recommended I tried out some makeup fixing mist, so I picked up the L’Oreal one. It is £7 but it does the trick, my making stays firmly on my mug all day long.

SO. Who else has watched Stranger Things on Netflix yet? Matt and I watched the whole series in approx. 48 hrs and it is SO good. Not our usual style of series but I thought it was incredibly well produced, jumpy and I think I am a little bit in love with 11, what a babe.

These have been my all time fave treat recently. I have been working opposite Selfridges Food Hall, meaning my lunch breaks are spent meandering around, trying all the samples and eating almost everything in the shop. My poor, poor bank balance. BUT I have discovered the delights of Livia’s Kitchen, these millionaire shortbread bites are free from, vegan and damn good with a cuppa T.

Any gems you’ve been lovin’ recently? Also, how the bladdy ell are we in September already?!  WHUT.  Plz no PSLs yet. Ok.. Maybe just one #basic4life.

As always, feel free to come and say ‘ello over on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Bloglovin and Snapchat (immymay)
