Yesterday I met the May clan for some grub in the city before they popped to the theatre for a show (classy bunch, aren’t they?) I don’t usually hang abaaat these parts full of theatres, tourists and I <3 London merchandise (unless after dark). But after we sent them into the theatre, me and my bro decided to stick around and find a spot for pudding and coffee.
You will find lovely little pop up cafes dotted around central ready for you to discover, sip foamy cappuccinos and watch the world go by. With wooden spoons in the windows and the words ‘PUDDING BAR’ across the front, we strolled right in.
We ordered our coffees and had a ganders at the pudding menu whilst catching up and chatting about the ins and outs of blogging and becoming freelance, check out my bros blog here.
We finally made our decision and ordered the Baked Alaska with cinnamon, blueberries and elderflower gel to share, purely because it has been a mystery since we were kids, YOU CAN PUT ICE CREAM IN AN OVEN WITHOUT IT MELTING?! Yes, yes you can.
Corrrr look at that beautaaay. We grabbed our spoons and dived in to the warm meringue…
We devoured it in around 4 minutes. Check out their menu here, I’ma have to try the S’more Cheesecake next time mmmHMM!
P.S sorry for my lack of blog over the past few days! I have been promoting a bakery in the day (handing out cake to the public) and Jaegermeister at night (handing out Jaegermeister to the public) then heading out to DSTRKT in the night – CREAM CRACKERED. Back to normal now!
